Why Nevria exists

I built Nevria because I've lived this problem.

I'm Hanna — an electrical engineering and biomedical engineering student. And I'm building Nevria because this is personal.

Unwanted hair has been one of my biggest insecurities for as long as I can remember. I've spent over $6,000 trying to fix it — bleaching, waxing, laser, everything. I did laser hair removal for three years and barely saw a difference, because laser doesn't work well on hair like mine. So I switched to electrolysis. In just five months, I saw better results than three years of laser ever gave me — today I have barely any hair in the areas I've treated.

But here's the problem: I'm a college student. Electrolysis is not affordable, and it takes forever — appointment after appointment, each one slow and expensive. I kept thinking, this actually works, so why is it so out of reach for the people who need it? That gap is real, and I've felt it myself.

To understand it better, I became a model at electrology schools — letting students practice on me before they get their license. I've spent hours in that chair. And I've talked to so many professionals in this field, and every single one of them validated the same thing: this process is painfully slow, it's hard on the practitioner, and they would love a tool that makes it faster and more efficient.

I've also asked around, and so many of my friends — and people all over the world — struggle with this exact same issue. It's so much more common than people admit, and almost no one has a good solution.

So I thought: what if I could fix this for both sides? For the practitioners who sit for hours pulling out one hair at a time, and for the clients who have to keep coming back, spending money and time they don't have. That's Nevria.

This is an issue I care about so deeply, and truly, truly want fixed — not just for me, but for everyone who's ever felt what I felt sitting in that chair. That's why I'm building this.
